“Prior to undertaking a major landscaping renovation of our back and side yard, I met with several prospective contractors before hiring Brian Jones and Jones Landscaping. What separated Brian from the other contractors was his understanding of my needs and offering solutions to my landscape problems. The other companies I spoke with simply told me what they wanted to do, not what I needed to prevent re-occurrence of problems.
Brian presented a three-stage plan with time frames for completion of each stage. Brian and his team arrived as scheduled each morning and I was kept informed of each day's progress either by a phone call or morning visit. Jones landscaping removed an existing railroad tie retaining wall and constructed a new tie wall, added top soil and installed sod on our side yard. In addition, they installed two French drains with a catch basin in the back yard, added Windsor blocks around both ends of our retaining wall and deck and installed top soil and sod in our back yard. Brian also performed work on our under-ground sprinkler system.
We were very pleased with the work performed by Brian and Jones Landscaping and will not hesitate to use their services in the future.”

“We had Jones Landscaping put in a lawn for us in April of 2003. It was done in stages of preparing the ground, leveling it off with top soil to give the grass a good root base, then bringing in the sod. Unfortunately in some regards, we had a lot of rain right after the top soil was put on, but it did a lot of good for the sod roots.
Brian was very good about making sure we understood what needed to be done to make the yard thrive. He followed up on the progress after the installation. The first year it didn't look too great at first because of the seams from the sod, but it came in lush and thick like a carpet as the seams closed up. During the warm weather it is very pleasant to walk barefoot through the grass to pick strawberries or vegetables from my garden. I sit outside on the patio in the mornings having my coffee and enjoy the quiet of the yard.
It requires regular watering and mowing, but it is not that difficult keeping it cut because it is an even surface without thick weed clumps.
